Our Story

Albert R. Armstrong received the vision for ministry in 1981.  The vision for New Covenant Church is to be a multi-ethnic, international, family ministry of restoration. Albert and his wife, Catherine served as Home Group Leaders with Christian Renewal Ministries for many years.  As a further outreach of that ministry, they served with a nursing home ministry for over seven years. In January 1989 God led Albert (also known as "Pastor Al") to begin planting a church.  By December of that same year, New Covenant Church had its first worship service at the "H" Street City of Brunswick Recreation Center in Brunswick, Georgia.  Within two years, the ministry moved to its present church home on 2625 Reynolds Street. On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Pastors Albert and Catherine Armstrong anointed and appointed Minister Carlos L. Williams as their successor and installed him as the Senior Pastor and Chief Executive Officer of New Covenant Church, Inc. The installation services were conducted by Bishop Benjamin Michael Burney, Sr. of Living Waters Ministry of Macon, Georgia. As of today, Pastor Carlos and his wife, Elect Lady Felicia Williams serves together in the ministry taking the lead to move New Covenant forward. Pastors Albert and Catherine Armstrong now have the new role as Overseers of New Covenant Church and are active members of the Board of Directors. Regular morning worship service starts at 10:30 a.m. and our online service starts at 12:00 p.m. (noon) each Sunday.   You will experience a life-changing, spiritual enrichment in an atmosphere of worship and praise to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   We look forward to seeing you at New Covenant Church soon! 

Since the founding of New Covenant Church in 1981, Pastor Armstrong laid a strong foundation by cultivating countless disciples through his dedicated ministry. When he appointed Pastor Carlos Williams as Senior Pastor, that legacy of discipleship continued to thrive and grow under his leadership.
